About ANS

The African Neurophysiology Society (ANS) is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the field of neurophysiology across the African continent. It serves as a platform for clinicians, researchers, and educators to collaborate, share knowledge, and promote best practices in neurophysiology. By fostering a community of professionals, ANS aims to enhance the understanding and treatment of neurological disorders prevalent in Africa.

In collaboration with the Global Organization of Health Education (GOHE), ANS organized the 2nd African Neurophysiology Conference in Kenya. This three-day event provided attendees with the opportunity to earn up to 20 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and featured discussions on the future of neurophysiology in Africa

Through such initiatives, the African Neurophysiology Society plays a crucial role in addressing the unique neurological health challenges faced by African populations. By promoting research, education, and clinical excellence, ANS contributes to the improvement of neurological health and the advancement of neurophysiological practices across the continent.

ANS Trainings

The Africa Neurophysiology Society (ANS) is in the process of coming up with training and certification programs designed to build capacity and enhance skills in neurophysiology across the continent. These programs will provide healthcare professionals with access to world-class education in clinical neurophysiology, focusing on the diagnosis and management of neurological disorders such as epilepsy, seizures, and neuropathies. The ANS training initiative will include both online and in-person modules, incorporating hands-on experience with cutting-edge equipment, case studies, and mentorship from leading experts in the field. This comprehensive approach will ensure that participants are well-equipped to address the unique challenges in African healthcare settings.
